The Artist Book Foundation

THE ARTIST BOOK FOUNDATION is pleased to announce the election of Lisa Helmholz-Adams to its board of directors, and the reelection Arthur J. Klonsky, both of Manchester, VT.

For more than two decades, Lisa Helmholz-Adams has been an art curator and dealer. In 2014, she founded Helmholz Fine Art in Tribeca, NY, and in Manchester; both galleries have enjoyed significant success that she attributes to cultivating long-term relationships with artists from around the world who work in a variety of mediums. She is an ardent advocate of contemporary artists who use Old Master techniques to illuminate the past through a contemporary lens; as a result, she has earned a well-deserved reputation for building diverse yet complementary collections for discriminating art lovers. In addition, Lisa uses proceeds from gallery sales to fund a philanthropic initiative she calls Global Reach in order to pursue her goal of impacting humanitarian causes around the world.

Following his career as a highly regarded and awarded landscape designer, Arthur Klonsky embarked on a second career as a professional photographer. He founded the photographic team Janeart in 1978, the production company Yellow Dog Productions in 1993, and Bread ’n Butter Productions in 2001. He has received numerous photographic awards including the Andy Award of Merit, Communication Arts Award, Art Direction Magazine Award, and the Image Bank’s Annual Award, as well as the Society of Publications’ Design Award. With his wife, Jane Sobel, Arthur has collaborated on nine books and on a photographic journey through small- town America, “An American Odyssey,” sponsored by sponsored by The Kodak Corporation, The Image Bank, and Getty Images.

Arthur and Lisa join Leslie Pell van Breen of Arlington, VT; Timothy O’Connor and Elizabeth Santa of Bridgeport, CT; and Ana Bachrach of Key Biscayne, FL, on the foundation’s board.
