Learn about therare mediums and discipline to their work, as the clean space shows off the art in the best possible way.

RARE
Elizabeth Torak & Thomas Torak will discuss the methods and techniques of 17th Century painting they use in their work: how to prepare canvas, grind paint, and make and use the Maroger medium.Mark Wilson Meunier will be showing his medium of egg tempera, which dates back to the beginning of our art history as Lisa Helmholz-Adams moderates. Stephen Schaub is an innovator whose works defy classification. His artworks have been described as “art dreaming about itself.” Schaub’s talk will focus on new works and his use of rare and exceptional papers, that use a process dating back thousands of years.

WILD
Lisa Cueman will have a 4 minute film of her on-location in the Outer Banks. Margot Nimiroski will have her large painting of the wild seascape.
